Still Alive!
Nov 19th, 2009 | By Alex R. Ruiz | Category: Lead ArticleFor the past few months I have been M.I.A while working on my first SolidWorks book: SolidWorks 2010: No Experience Required. Now that the process is coming to an end, I am already looking forward to getting back to blogging. Currently, I have a long list of posts that I plan to get out in the near future.
Coming Soon!
First, in early December, I will be writing about a sit-down interview I had with Jeff Ray, CEO of SolidWorks. I am excited to share the answers he gave to many of the most common questions asked about the future of SolidWorks. It has to be the highlight of my short blogging career and I look forward to sharing the experience with all of you.
Also in December, I will be attending Autodesk University for the first time and I plan to give you a glimpse at how the other half lives. Don’t worry, I am not switching sides. I just thought it would be a good opportunity to show how SolidWorks and Autodesk are alike, different and on completely different planets. I promise to give a fair look at both camps and I will not be holding any punches. Stay tuned for more updates about my trip behind enemy lines.
Back by Popular Demand
Every time I have the honor of meeting one my readers, one of the questions I often get asked is “When are you going to have more post about ASME standards”? I am happy to announce that in January 2010, Standards will return to The SolidWorks Geek. If you missed any of my previous post regarding ASME standards, click on Standards in the menu to the right of this page.
A New Way to Contact Me
A couple of months ago, I started using Google Voice and I absolutely love it. After playing around with it for sometime, I decided that it would be extremely helpful with interacting with my readers. With the power of Google Voice, I was able to set up a voice mail box that readers can use to rant, rave or ask questions. If you want to leave a voicemail, click on the About link in the top toolbar. Towards the bottom of the About page, you will see a link to Call Me. If you want a response, make sure you include the best way to contact you including you email, twitter, etc… I look forward to hearing from all of you.
